High Speed Handpieces
If you have purchased the Ultima 500 with no lights, the dental unit includes a Push Button Non-Lighted High Speed Handpiece.
Caution
- Do not run the handpiece without a bur locked in the chuck.
- Do not disassemble, modify, or alter the handpiece.
- Do not press the push button end cap during use, since this could result in the OVERHEATING of the handpiece head. Special caution must be exercised to keep patient cheek tissue away from the push button end cap. Contact with cheek tissue could cause the push button to depress or may result in a burn injury to the patient.
- When the handpiece becomes noisy or sluggish, replace turbine immediately (see Turbine Replacement Tab). Failure to replace the turbine could result in personal injury or damage to the handpiece.
- Never attempt to remove the bur while running the handpiece.
- If any abnormalities are found, stop using immediately and contact Tech Support.
