- Check the oil level when the compressor is not running. The oil should be between 1/2 to 2/3 full.
- Purge system from any antiseptic / waterline cleaner. Switch the bottle selector switch to the distilled water bottle and run the High Speed, Air / Water Syringe and Piezo lines until it is evident the cleaner is no longer flowing through the lines. If not using antiseptic / waterline cleaner, this step may be skipped.
- Unplug dental unit from electrical outlet. If compressor is running, wait for compressor to stop before unplugging.
- Remove the water bottles.
- Empty and clean the Suction System Collection Bottle daily. Clean and empty Auto Drain Collection Bottle weekly.
- Wipe the dental unit clean.
- Remove the handpieces and clean according to the handpiece instructions found at www.ultimadentalsystems.com.
- Optional, purge the system from water. Plug the unit back into an electrical outlet, install both empty water bottles onto the unit and run the High Speed, Air / Water Syringe and Piezo lines until water is barely visible. (Purging the water out of the lines helps to prevent microbes from accumulating inside the dental unit).
